Technology Solutions
Sample of Science and Technology Projects:
- The U.S. Air Force scientific peer/panel review program organizes panels of academic and private-sector researchers that provide the Air Force Office of Scientific Research with feedback on science and technology projects.
- The Air Force Lean Program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base has coordinated the implementation of lean methodology, systems, and technology throughout the logistics directorate and financial section of the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command.
- T2BridgeTM is a technology transfer program that solves defense needs through development, transfer, and transition of defense sponsored innovation.
In addition, PBC often partners with other not-for-profit organizations, colleges, industry, and federal/state agencies on collaborative
technology-based programs in areas such as energy innovation, technology
transfer, and software development.
PBC has extensive experience in managing
partnerships that involve industry and the U.S. Department of Defense. For example, PBC managed the Mid Atlantic Regional Consortium for
Advanced Vehicles (MARCAV), which was sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The MARCAV consortium focused on
the application of enhanced electric technologies in military, industrial, and commercial vehicles.
Moreover, the Technology Business Information Resource Center (TBIC) is another important PBC asset. The TBIC provides government,
academia, and industry with research services to support technology transfer, market research, technology development, and technology scouting.
The TBIRC has completed more than 300 research projects for clients such as the Defense Logistics Agency, the USAF Battlelabs program, DoD’s
Special Operations Command, and numerous private-sector companies.
